Arrowhead "Beach"

We are always careful not to call our shore a beach. We go out of our way not to mislead people. The lake is currently in a downward trend and we are just now seeing the result of last year's flood on the topography of our shoreline. Low and behold, it's a beach! The flood waters must have washed a considerable amount of sand into the lake from the river and deposited it below us. We have had several vacationing families during the past 10 days that made extensive use of the new beach. One family brought beach chairs and umbrellas. Another two groups brought pop-up shade awnings.

You can see in this picture that beaching boats is safely and easily accomplished as always.

This is the view looking back up to the cabins from the shore. All of this was under water one year ago!
