The Advantages of NOT Having a Boat Dock

As nice as it would be to have a boat dock here at the resort, our customers are still enjoying the ability to beach their boats easily and safely along the shore below our cabins. Our shoreline is one of the few areas of Lake Whitney that is not rocky. We have a smooth sand and mud combination that is perfectly suited to beaching boats. It's a short walk up the hill to the cabins from the shore, allowing guests to go back and forth to their boats throughout their stay.This photo was taken 8/01/11 with the water level at 519.17 or 13.83 below normal. Launching is not a problem at Lofers Bend Campground just over a mile from the resort. Still plenty of water and plenty of fun!
